| What is TUFF? |
| TUFF (Teachers United For the Future) is both a non-profit organization dedicated to the needs of our users and an online meeting place for Pinellas County Schools instructional and support staff. Registering for access to our discussion doesn't automatically mean you belong to the Tuff Teach organization. We're loosly structured and participation in meetings is not required. Heck, you don't even have to agree with us to register!
Tuff-Teach runs an independent, privately owned forum for Pinellas County School Board instructional and support staff. We do have a public area at our discussion forums for guests. We are not supported by any public funds or grants, nor are we a part of any other organization or business.
Tuff provides a voice often denied to us through official channels. We began in late 2001 as an alternative to using district resources for our communication. As we continued talking openly, we found we shared some things in common - district staff and students will get the short end unless we stick up for ourselves!
Contributers to TUFF have many differenet opinions about many different subjects, but we do share one idea: we want educators, parents, and students to stand up for themselves and demand positive changes. |
